When it goes to buy wine online, there are many opportunities on the web to find good bottles of wine and especially unique bottles from anywhere in the world. Because the whole point about drinking wine is trying to find a great bottle to have a great experience not just drinking!

There are several ways to find good wine and the most important part is to get quality information to buy wines online. To find quality information, you can consider get into wine clubs (some of them are really tough to get in but use your best skills!) or talk to wine experts (some of them are truly amazing) or books (some of them are really detailed and good quality).

1/ Online Wine club: in the UK, there are many wine clubs or online wine clubs where you can talk to wine experts (red wine, whie wine or even rose!), make some wine tasting and have a good time! This may be also a great opportunity to network with business people like lawyers, bankers, managers or politicians. You can mix pleasure and business! What a chance, right?

2/ Wine experts: there are thousands of wine experts who are truly passionate about wines and they will be happy to entertain and educate you to become wine lovers. You could even become a truly wine expert one day! You never know! Anything can happen if you are passionate about it…

3/ Books: if you read books, you can also get passionate about wines and learn from quality wines from all over the world: the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Chile, the US or Australia. Or you can learn with these books how to use wine with good meat or cheese or fish (what about a nice foie gras with a good glass of white wine? That sounds like a good meal, right?)

A lot of people in the world believe that French wine is the best and it offers the most refined wine in the world.

There are many attributes to French wine: many different regions (Loire Valley, Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Alsace or Languedoc Roussillon). Indeed, you get so many different tastes: fruity, heavy or light, dark, brown, sparkling,… It’s endless.

Many websites offer the opportunity to wine lovers to read detailed wine reviews but also advice for wine pairing: does that make sense to eat red wine with fish? does that make sense to eat foie gras with rose? can you drink rose during winter? To all those questions, the answer is no but there are some possible nuances to that…

Usually, don’t listen to your neighbors at the table when they tell you: “you should get wine X from vineyard Y from this amazing region Z” because they have no idea about your taste and usually your taste is very unique. You might have been educated to wine (or not) and according to how you learnt how to enjoy good wine, your tasting could be very different. For example, when you consider french wine, there are so many different types of wines that it’s impossible to figure out will suit your needs and your taste. On top of that, according to the type of food, the type of restaurant, the temperature and your mood, you might want something that is completely different and that makes the whole difference!

For all these reasons, if you want to enjoy good wine that fits your taste and your needs, just be patient and read wine reviews to figure out which wine you like and what makes you excited about a wine. On top of that, if you have the chance to do some wine tasting with “wine makers”, “c’est la cerise sur le gateau”!
